Construction began on this building on March 11, 1925, and was completed February 10, 1926.
This mixed-use, two-story, brick and tile building was built for $32,000 by O.J. Fishel.
Roy and Lydia Hoertz established Der Braumeister restaurant in March of 1983, in response
to a need for someplace on the West Side where people could experience high quality German
and European cuisine and beer. The unique building design and outstanding ethnic food continue
to attract people from all over.
