Originally two separate parcels, the western parcel had a one story commercial
building housing the J B Lavetter Variety Store, and the eastern parcel was a
Blue Flash Gas Station. In 1965, a crescent-shaped addition was added to
accommodate the operations of Michaud's Party Center and Restaurant.
The building alterations were removed in 1998/99 and extensive preservation actions were
undertaken to once again display the beauty of the original one-story structure.
