Designed by architect William S. Lougee, this brick fire station was built when there was
a growing amount of residential construction in the area in the early part of the century.
The original engine bay has been bricked over. Originally, there was a side chimney and a
hose-drying tower with a door at the base. The original cut stone doorway on the east remains.
